It appears there is a whole slew of candidates in line wanting to be president. That's amazing considering the country is so small. The question is, do the candidates really want to bring change and help their country?

Well, the answer to that question maybe yes for just a few candidates. The rest of them are operating purely on ego. They have no clue what it is to be truly patriotic. Simply put, they don't have an agenda. Now, that's a sad commentary.
			<!--

It's time for us to stop thinking about candidate this or that. We should think about our beloved land Haiti. The current government should start thinking of ways to join forces with everyone in order to push the country foward.

It is unfortunate that Pastor Chavannes Jeune didn't win. But in a way, he was a big winner. His party is right now the most respected party in the country and it is gaining momentum day by day. That is not to say that the other parties are worthless. But most of them ar somewhat fragmented. For the sake fo this writing, let's not bring Mr. Preval's party into this.

One day, perhaps his party will grow some roots. We should all remember that he was a prominent member of Aristide's party. Since he has somewhat distanced himself from Aristide, he had to, in a hurry, cook up his own party. That was a brilliant move on his part. And I believe he will continue to show his brilliance by bringing people like Pastor Chavannes Jeune, Simeus and the likes on board with him.

It seems as though every Haitian feels liberated once a president was elected. And so, we are optimistic that progress is on the way. Haiti will bounce back.

This article does not reflect the views of Pastor Chavannes Jeune.
			<!--

Tropical weather, sandy beaches, green valleys and breath-taking views offer visitors a taste of heaven on earth. But the closer you get, the more this heaven on earth feels and looks like hell on earth.
CBN News asked Eris Labady, a pastor who oversees 15 churches, how he would describe Haiti today. Labady replied, “A sick nation who needs a doctor."
Haiti is the poorest country in the Western hemisphere, and is getting poorer every day. Half the population is undernourished. One in five children dies before he or she reaches five. The majority in the country do not even have access to clean water.
Dr. J. L. Williams, an American based in North Carolina, has ministered the Gospel in Haiti for 30-plus years. Dr. Williams is the CEO of New Directions International. He said, “It went from this incredible place of prestige, a place of beauty, to what it is today -- just almost a barren, lifeless island.”
It is an island where hopelessness and despair are captured in the faces of needy Haitians.
One Haitian girl said, “Our life is so difficult here. We have lost hope in all earthly solutions to Haiti's problems.”
Many had pinned their hopes on Haiti's experiment with democracy, but that too has failed to produce much of anything.
Still, the man in charge of running this country, Prime Minister Gerard Latortue, is optimistic about the future, despite his country's catalogue of problems.
Latortue said, "We know that democracy is difficult to implement, but we know there is nothing better than that."
Yet the nation's top evangelical leader says there are deeper issues that plague his nation.
Chavannes Jeune is the pastor of Mission Evangelical Baptist Church. When asked if he felt that Haiti is cursed, he replied, “Yes, because our forefathers, when they were celebrating their independence, dedicated Haiti to a voodoo spirit.”
Haitians made a blood pact with the devil 200 years ago, after a witch doctor by the name of Boukman dedicated the island to Satan.
Labady was asked what impact voodoo has had on his country. He responded, "The result is all around us."
According to Labady, voodoo permeates every level of Haitian society.
CBN News got a glimpse into this dark world where African witchcraft mixes with Catholic rituals.
A voodoo priest asserted, “Voodoo and the spirits on these walls have more power than the God of the Gospels, and all this power is now in me, and I can give that power to those who want it!”
CBN News asked the priest, “So these are kind of demonic spirits on the wall?”
The priest responded,“Yes!”
Lesly is one of the voodoo priests. But Lesly is not his real name; he says that is only his spirit name. Lesly runs a voodoo temple on the outskirts of the Haitian capital, Port-au-Prince. He says that for the last three decades he has tended to the desperate needs of many Haitians.
He said, ”Many come to me with all kinds of sickness. Some have evil spirits in them. They ask me to solve their problems, and I do. I also help them get voodoo spirits that can look after them in the future.”
In between gulps of Haitian moonshine, which he said helps to calm the other spirits roaming inside him, Lesly tried to sell our CBN News reporter a voodoo spirit.
CBN News asked, “How much does it cost to buy a spirit?”
Lesly responded, ”To buy a good spirit will cost you five, eight, maybe 25,000 Haitian dollars. It all depends on how powerful a spirit you want. Now, if you want to take a spirit with you home to America, you have to pay in American dollars!”
Our reporter was clearly not interested in buying a voodoo spirit. But many Haitians are, and they are paying lots of money for these spirits.
We found a man at a major intersection in downtown Port-au-Prince singing about the voodoo spirits he bought, and who now rule his life.
The man said, “Voodoo is everything to me. The spirits help me survive in my country, and I love to sing about them.”
There is a saying in this country that Haiti is 70 percent Catholic, 30 percent Protestant, and 100 percent voodoo. But things are changing. An army of believers says it is enough that for 200 years this nation has suffered under the curse of voodoo.
Spearheading that change is Pastor Jeune, Haiti's most prominent evangelical leader. On most days, you will find him traveling around the island with one goal in mind.
Pastor Jeune said, “What we are trying to do to our country is to claim it back for the Lord.”
Thousands of Christians are joining that campaign with fervent prayer and fasting.
Church attendant Reginald Estarid said, "Second Chronicles 7:14 says that if my people [will] humble themselves and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear them and will forgive their sins and heal their land. That's what I am clinging to today for my nation.”
Last Easter, when Haiti's former president Jean-Bertrand Aristide officially declared voodoo as a religion, "...that become a galvanizing event that woke up the Christians in a special way,” said Dr. Williams.
Weeks later, thousands of Christians began earnestly praying to see victory over voodoo. They held rallies officially declaring Haiti for Jesus.
In one rally, Dr. Williams declared, “This is the blood of Christ, and we lift it up tonight."
This past week, Pastor Jeune and Dr. Williams held another series of prayer events called "Haiti at the Cross." It included the first-ever Christian prayer convocation at the Haitian White House. It was led by the president of Promise Keepers USA, Dr. Tom Fortson.
Dr. Fortson said, "God wants to show himself strong here in Haiti. He wants to demonstrate His power, and what better place in all the world to demonstrate who He is, by changing the situation here in Haiti.”
Rumor has it that former president Aristide used the Haitian White House to hold voodoo celebrations, making this week's event of Christians gathering and praying in the presidential White House all the more historic.
Dr. Williams said, “And so to have it, as it were, swept clean by the presence, by the prayers, by the praises of God's people, is historic beyond comprehension.”
Other "Haiti at the Cross" events included a four-day Promise Keepers-style outreach to the men of Haiti.
Haitian pastor Daceus Abcoste said, “Men hold the keys to my country's future. When men understand the Godly roles in their families and in their communities, then they will see how God will use them mightily to overthrow the kingdom of the devil and replace it with the Kingdom of Jesus Christ!”
Today, Haitian Christians are becoming catalysts for spiritual change in their country.
Edmond Chantal said, “God has put a burden on my heart to bring my country to the foot of the cross because I know that only God has the solution to our problems.”
According to Pastor Jeune, the evangelical community is experiencing tremendous growth, and now makes up 42 percent of the population. He says, “Haiti is on the brink of revival."
And Christian radio is playing a significant role in that revival. With equipment donated by CBN, Radio Luimer, Haiti's largest evangelical radio station, reaches every corner of the country with the Gospel.
Radio Luimer director Varnel Jeune said, “We get a number of calls from voodoo priests who want to serve Jesus Christ and not the devil. We praise God when we get such calls, because it is often dangerous to go and witness directly to these voodoo practitioners. Radio allows us to reach them right into their homes.”
Pastor Labady said that the key to turning his country around is Jesus. He said, “Our people need to come to realize that this country has a problem, [and] there is someone who can solve it, and that's Jesus!”
Back at the Prime Minister's office, a group of Haitian and American Christians gathers to present the leader of the country with a Bible, and to speak a blessing over the nation.
Prime Minister Latortue said, “I believe Christianity has a big role, and has had also in the past a big role, and even for tomorrow, in order to free Haitians from hunger, from unemployment, God only could help us.
On Monday I will be leaving again for Haiti. I have hardly had time to “catch my breath” from my past trip to Africa – but it is imperative that I be in Haiti next week. Let me briefly explain why…

As I trust you know from my previous emails, and from other NDI mailings, we have been involved in Haiti for over 35 years. In fact, Haiti is our oldest field of ministry. I first took the New Directions musical ministry team there in 1969 for an evangelistic sweep across the entire island. We have been going back multiple times every year since that time.

Over the past two years, we were deeply involved in Haiti’s Bicentennial commemoration as the “Oldest Black Republic in the World.” Haiti was second country in the Western Hemisphere to gain her independence --following the United States. Leading up to the Bicentennial, there were influential people -- including then President Aristide, who wanted to re-ratify the ancient Boukman Blood Pact with the devil, which exchanged freedom from France for bondage to the devil for 200 years. So we came alongside our Haitian brothers and sisters for months of spiritual warfare to break that satanic blood pact -- and bring Haiti under the liberating blood of Christ.

Our long time friend and partner, Dr. Chavannes Jeune, was the primary catalyst for these historic events. This spiritual warfare was culminated this past December through a series of events that we helped sponsor known as “Haiti At The Cross.” God abundantly blessed, and we believe that the Boukman Blood Pact has been broken through the power of Christ’s death and resurrection.

Now it is time to give political expression to this spiritual revolution that has taken place. A new political party has been established known as UNCRH, which is a French acronym for ”National Christian Union for the Reconstruction of Haiti.” This next week they will have their very first series of meetings in Port-au-Prince, and Dr. Chavannes Jeune will be presented as the Presidential candidate for that party. He has asked me to teach several hundred key leaders for the two days leading up to the final event on April 14th, as well as speak at the closing rally. Across the years we have preached together throughout Haiti – and especially in these last 2 years leading up to the Bicentennial and “Haiti At The Cross.” So it will be an honor to once again be at his side as he announces his candidacy for President of Haiti!

We know that the enemy will continue to fight this new spiritual-political movement. And the lingering pro-Aristide gang members are still shooting and killing people – even the UN Forces. In addition, the evil one is also seeking to deploy his favorite tactic of “divide and conquer.” So pray that unity will prevail – beginning with the pastors and Christian leaders. And pray that God will give me great wisdom and a fresh anointing as I preach and teach.

Finally, please read the following linked email, a very important letter from the Executive Consultant and International Liaison for UNCRH. Please take a few more minutes to open and read this attachment. And then FERVENTLY PRAY for Chavannes Jeune, the members of UNCRH, and myself as we seek to lift the banner of Christ over these historic events. By God’s grace and sovereign power, we have a real opportunity to “take the Haiti White House” for Christ! And you can play a vital part through your prayers and fasting for these events between April 12th and 14th.

For His Kingdom & Glory in Haiti,

J.L.

PS: I would also love to hear back from you through a brief email to let me know that you indeed have opened and read these emails! And be watching for a special edition of our Frontline newspaper that will feature Haiti and our on-going Tsunami work in India and Sri Lanka.
			<!--

Haiti counts more than 8 millions inhabitants and another 2.5 millions living in the Diaspora. The latest statistics show that more than 40% of Haitians are of Christian religions.

The Haitian people hope that the Christian Political Leaders need to use God’s mercies and tenderness and their own Christian and morale values to bring changes to the current Haitian situation that we all deplore. Haiti is the poorest country in western hemisphere.

In Haiti, people are starving, the women are being kidnapped, raped, and killed, innocent and harmless people are being kidnapped on a daily basis, their meager possessions are burnt down on a daily basis, and their lives are cut short for no apparent reasons. In this interconnected World, Christians like you, who share the same Christian values, teaching, and understanding cannot afford not to get involved.

The level of morality, dignity, and integrity required today for electing a responsible government, for restoring hopes, attracting investments and creating jobs, generating peace, social acceptance, and justice for all in Haiti, demands a more fraternal understanding built in strong proximity.

We, Haitians, Christians, Professionals, Friends of Haiti and the Haitian People, we need UNITY among our Political Leaders. We need it today! We call for it today!

That is why a group of Christians and concerned Christian Haitians and Friends of Haiti from the following organizations: Partners Worldwide, DataComp USA, Consistoire Mondial du Protestantisme Haïtïen, Eritaj Foundation of Massachusetts, USA), and Advocates International (France) is sponsoring and organizing a CHRISTIAN UNITY SUMMIT in Miami, Florida from November 22nd -24th for the Christian Political front runners for President for the next Elections that will take place in Haiti in December 2005 and January 2006. Among those leaders we list Pastor Chavannes Jeune of UNRCH/UNION, Dr. Charles Poisset-Romain of FONCIP, Dr. Luc Mesadieu of MONCHRENA and Rony Desroches of the 184 Groupe.

The purpose of the Summit is to strengthen their abilities in order to win the elections together, to share the victory together. We do NOT want any losers and we CANNOT afford to have any losers in our Christian camp. We need to have one unified and unique candidate among them who is most capable and poised to win and to lead Haiti on a different path (an equitable and Christian path) for the next 5 years.

For the stated reasons above and many more that we don’t have time to list, we call on you dear Christian Friends, Brothers, and Sisters to pray for the success of the SUMMIT. We need God’s Guidance and Direction. We know that the Bible says: “We can do anything through God who strengthens us”. Please, please, please PRAY for the organizing Committee and all the participants! We count on you!

May God Richly Bless You!

Brother Crizauld Francois
Member of the Organizing Committee
http://us.f504.mail.yahoo.com/ym/Compose?To=Crizauld@yahoo.com
			<!--

And, what isn’t burned litters virtually every street, alleyway and streambed.

Still, with an estimated 40 percent of Haitians being evangelicals, Jeune would seem to have an excellent chance at leading this nation, which gained its independence on January 1, 1804. That is, if he can convince Christians to register and vote, no easy task in a nation jaded by two centuries of often corrupt leadership.

In reality, despite being only the second nation in the western hemisphere to gain its freedom, and the first to do so with a successful slave revolt, is not really independent, insists Jeune. “After so many years of independence, our nation is still in bondage,” he said.

The reason it is not truly free, he said, is because the nation was dedicated by a voodoo priest at its liberation, it has been in bondage to the devil for four generations; and presently, because of the political turmoil since former president Jean-Bertrand Aristide was forced into exile in February of last year, the nation is essentially under the control of the United Nations, though it does have indigenous leadership, Prime Minister Gerard Latortue.

However, Jeune, who is the pastor of Mission Evangelical Baptist Church, and has been involved in leadership of a number of Haitian evangelical and pastoral organizations, is also hopeful because of the people he wishes to serve.

In fact, while it is true that voodoo and its associated satanic rituals do enjoy significant influence in Haiti, it is equally true that the nation is populated by industrious and friendly people that are very family-oriented. Conversely, they have come to distrust politics because of the corruption that has dominated virtually every level of government.

Nevertheless, Jeune, 51, is hopeful that he can motivate enough Christians to vote to swing the election his way. In fact, he has been characterized by at least one American missionary as “the Billy Graham of Haiti.”

Jeune certainly has the credentials to support such a characterization. As the former leader of HAVIDEC (Haiti’s Vision for the Third Century), an evangelical social organization that was established to reach the nation with the Gospel as it began its third century of independence, and to motivate Christians to involve themselves in all aspects of Haitian life, including politics, Jeune – who left the organization to run for president – has seen daily the challenges facing his people through God’s call upon his life.

Out of the efforts of HAVIDEC came a political party, UNCRH, a French acronym for “National Christian Union for the Reconstruction of Haiti.” Jeune was elected as its leader – and my extension its presidential candidate – in January, 2005.

Since then, he has been crisscrossing the nation, as well as the Atlantic Ocean, as he campaigns in remote areas here, as well as to the Haitian Diaspora, which is made up of about 2.5 million expatriated Haitians living in the United States, Canada, France, Africa and other nations. They are eligible to vote and send a documented $1 billion annually to friends, family and businesses back home. Additionally, it is anyone’s guess as to how much cash is sent by family members back home without bank transfers.

He offers an ambitious agenda, but he is not a complete stranger to Haitian politics, as he served as vice president for 13 months at the beginning of the 1990’s under President Ertha Fascal Trouyot. “During that time, the Lord allowed me to make a positive impact on leaders, as he allowed me to witness to many politicians and military leaders who accepted the Lord as their Savior.”

It is that pastor’s heart that guides his platform. In short, he believes Haiti is ripe for a Christian to be elected president, which Jeune insisted would be an embracing by Haitians of Jesus as the nation’s Lord.

In fact, he referred to America’s first president as a model for the first point of his platform. “First of all, we need moral values. That is very much lacking. We have many leaders that are often corrupted. They enrich themselves and rob the people. Like George Washington said, a nation that is not guided by the moral principles of God has no guide at all.”

He continued, “This is a democracy only on paper. Social justice is a major issue. We must decentralize. All the power is in the presidency and Port-au-Prince. Rural, remote areas are left behind.”

As an example of how Haitians can govern themselves, he points to the small national police force. “We have only 4,000 police for a nation of 8.5 million people. Half of those are bodyguards for the big shots, and not helping the people at all. Yet, except for a few pockets, we can move about, live together without problems, even with no police presence.”

It is those pockets of violence that must be immediately addressed before other points of his platform can be initiated, he acknowledged. “We can create jobs and encourage investment and tourism if we end the violence. It is a very beautiful country.” He continued, “It is too bad the poverty and sense of oppression and lack of employment has led to violent actions.”
So, beyond the belief that Christians must provide a moral example as leaders, he said, “The number one problem is security.” The government must also be stabilized, he said, and jobs created because, “Poverty encourages violence.”

The nation essentially has a year-round growing season, so production of agriculture must increase, he said, so the nation can export less food, saving extremely limited resources and providing desperately needed food for its population. So, working on infrastructure, such as irrigation, is critical, he said.

He also wishes to improve Haiti’s standing in the international community. Jeune acknowledged that will require a balancing act, as he does not wish Haiti to be subservient to other nations, but knows also that it must collaborate with them to help the Haitian people.

“Haiti cannot do well if it does not have good relations,” he said. Jeune said he would begin international cooperation with the Dominican Republic, the nation to the east that shares the island of Hispaniola with Haiti, and accounts for two-thirds of the land mass.

“We must try and see whether we can develop electricity. We share a big river that could accomplish that.”

He continued, “Also, we have the United States only 600 miles away. We have to understand the role of the U.S. and smooth our relations, not see them as wanting to occupy and control Haiti. We must work together. The American people are inclined to help. We need the means without being subordinated.”

He noted also that Haiti has a cultural connection to France, the nation that established Haiti as a colony. French is the primary language spoken and is taught in school. He also spoke of establishing strong relations with Canada, where a large percentage of the Diaspora live, as well as Israel, Japan and even China. “We need a government that knows how to approach these nations as partners, to get collaboration but not submission.”

Jeune believes that Haiti has the culture and history that will demonstrate its value in the international community. “First of all, we have a wonderful culture. We are a very hospitable and industrious people.” As examples, he pointed to the arts – in particular music and painting – and to the number of professionals the nation has produced. In the latter case, there are many Haitian doctors, but more live in Canada than in Haiti, he noted.

But first, he must convince Christians to register and vote. He said at least three obstacles stand in the way of that critical endeavor – violence in past elections, an under-funded and understaffed effort to register voters, and the belief held by many pastors that Christians should not engage in politics because it is so corrupt. He said flatly, “If the security is not resolved, we will have problems.” The most violent area is Cite Soliel, a neighborhood of 100,000 here in the capital that is presently surrounded by U.N. troops.

It is there that leftists are disrupting missionary activities, feeding programs, and other relief efforts. Some have even criticized the Brazilian leadership of the U.N. mission here, saying they “volunteered” to lead the security effort to purposely sabotage the reform efforts, and so that they will be in a position to back a leftist candidate for president.

Jeune acknowledged, “Everybody understands they are not efficient. Everybody knows they have not brought peace.” Yet, insisted Jeune, “I really believe there is some progress being made.”

As for getting Christians involved in the election, he is hopeful. “The turnaround in the minds of the Christians about being involved is a pleasant surprise,” said Jeune. “If we all come out to vote, and vote in unison, we will win,” he insisted. Undeniably, he does come from a region – the south – that could propel him into the White House, for an estimated 57 percent of the residents there are Christians.

While there is another pastor, Dr. Luc Mesadieu, considering a run for the presidency, Jeune said he believes that he and Mesadieu – who lives in the northern part of the country – will at least sign a “nonaggression pact” so that their testimonies will not be harmed by the competing for votes.

And, he believes he must appeal to the Diaspora, so he is speaking to a worldwide convention of it in New York in September. “The leaders must acknowledge them. They have trade and skills we desperately need. If we can repatriate them, they are a rich source of ideas. Too often though, the leaders of this country have not utilized them and put their ideas on the shelf.”

Though he faces many obstacles – the problems of Haiti itself, not to mention raising enough support for his campaign – he is determined. “I am in this endeavor to see if I can be of use to this country and use my testimony and Christian faith to influence our nation for good.”

© LibertyPressNews.com, 2005.

Michael Barrick is the Executive Editor of www.barrickreport.com, the Internet news source of www.libertypressnews.com, which offer in-depth exclusives, field reports and commentaries on secular and sacred news.

I am also pleased to inform you that at 1:00 PM on Thursday September 8th in Port-au-Prince, Pastor Chavannes Jeune has officially announced his candidacy to the presidency of the Republic of Haiti for the fall elections.

From my own experience, after spending the whole month of August traveling in Haiti from north to south and from east to west, Pasteur Jeune remains the preferred candidate to win the presidential elections among all the other candidates. I can tell you that the Christian community wants to win; the Haitian people want him to run the country. This will be the first time, after 201 years of Independence, that Haiti will have a born again Christian as president. Now that he is officially running for the highest office of the country, he desperately needs your prayers, your moral, and financial support to run a successful campaign and I am sure he can count on you.

If you would like to make a financial donation, please make your check or money order payable to: UNCRH/Chavannes Campaign and mail to:

In the United States and Canada
UNCRH
c/o Crizauld Francois

Patriotiquement Votre,

Pour le secrétariat,

Ing. Although Chavannes graduated with a degree as a civil engineer, he knew his real mission in life lay not in building an earthly city, but in furthering a Heavenly Kingdom.

Since preaching his first sermon (22 people were saved as a result!) Pastor Chavannes realized that "God had a clear purpose for my life to be his mouthpiece." And so he went to universities in Washington State, South Carolina, and Chicago, where he completed studies in a broad range of subjects including Missiology, Christian Education, Public Administration, Spiritual Counseling, and Communications.

Chavannes has been given honorary doctorates in Divinity (Atlantic Theological Seminary) and Medicine (Lumiere University). In addition to his academics, Pastor Chavannes further equipped himself for ministry by traveling the world in order to participate in various mission conferences dealing with evangelistic and social topics.

Pastor Chavannes, like his father, joined MEBSH and in 1989 received his first church leadership position; one year later he was ordained. In 1992 and again in 1997 Pastor Chavannes was elected president of MEBSH for five-year terms. He is now Vice-President, and, in his words, "pastor at large." He states, "God has mightily used me as a catalyst for change and unity among the Haitian pastors and churches in both Haiti and overseas." Besides heading spiritual flocks, Chavannes also heads a household; in 1981 he married Marie Lucie Carisma and they now have four children.

The Lord has given Chavannes favor in the eyes of Haiti’s leaders and public. He served as Vice President of the country for thirteen months in 1988-89, and led the President at that time to the Lord, as well as several Army generals. He distributed bibles to the entire army and started a bible study for the leadership.

He is the founder and general promoter of “Haiti’s Vision for the Third Century” (HAVIDEC), a year long saturation of Haiti for 2004 to take the country back from Satan and dedicate her to Jesus Christ. HAVIDEC is a concerted effort of all the major churches, denominations, and Protestant organizations in Haiti to bring about a spiritual deliverance for Haiti on the occasion of the celebration of the country's 200 years of independence.

The strategies for this spiritual war include a year of prayer and intercession, education and promotion of spiritual and moral values, outreaches throughout Haiti, a Leadership Form and a nationwide gathering. HAVIDEC's strategy involves a five-phase plan of action. The first phase will be mobilization and getting the word out. The second phase will be the mobilization, training and deployment of prayer teams.

The third phase consists of twelve saturation outreaches in all the major cities in Haiti from December 5-12, 2004, each outreach being adopted by an American mission organization (including NDI). The fourth phase will be a gathering of 1,000 leaders for a National Forum January 1-3, 2004. On January 4th, there will be a massive outreach in the capital of Port-au-Prince, Haiti, where a crowd of 250,000 is possible.

Lastly, the fifth phase will be the construction of a National Stadium, due to be completed by 2010. It will have a 50,000 seating capacity, a museum, library and Conference facility, so as to "be a rallying point and edification place for all of the evangelicals of Haiti." To call this plan incredible would be correct; the goal is "nothing short of breaking the bondage of voodoo, poverty, ignorance, crime and corruption, and bringing in a time of peace and prosperity through the church as God's salt and light in that society." Incredible?

Yes. But to a man who has seen the incredible from a very early age, with God - all things are possible. Please pray that the Lord would be glorified during the upcoming events and for wisdom and safety for Chavannes as he leads.
			<!--
